Heimreise

Eure Franzi
P.s.: Ich hab euch alle ganz dolle lieb!!

What happend the last weeks?!

Hi guys,
I know it is a long time ago when I wrote the last time, but how you see and feel the time is going by so fast and I am very busy here, but now I finally have some time to write a little bit about what happend the last weeks.
Yeah on May 5th we had Senior Prom from our High School and so I went there with a bunch of friends. At first it all went kind of crazy because my hair didn't want to stay how I want to have it, so I went back with Kacia and Julia to the hair dresser and they fixed my hair for me, then we came back home to get ready and totally forget the time, so the girls and I came about 30min to late. We met at a friends house to take pictures as a group and with the family, because this is tradition in the USA before you go to the actual Prom, then we drove to school to take professional pictures there and afterwards we went out for dinner. I can't remember what the name of the restaurant was, but it was a very nice one! I shared a two person meal with my date Julia *smile* It was very jummy :-) After we were done with out dinner we drove to Portland and took the max to the Tiffany Center where the Prom was happening. It was just a big room, with some tables on the sides and in the middle you could dance. The music is the same then it is in German dance clubs, but without the unappropriate songs *hihi* It was fun, and nice to see what the big last dance at High Schools looks like :-) After the dance was over at 11pm we went to Peter's house and watch a movie. But everyone was kind of tired so we left there at about 2 o' clock. Yeah, that was Prom :-)

Then on the 16th of May we had Early Release day, that means everyone gets out 3 hours earlier from school which is pretty cool. So we decided to go all together to the water front in Portland and have a picnic together which we did. It was a lot of fun, we ate pizza, enjoyed the sunny weather and took a lot of pictures. On the way back we met a homeless man who picked roses for womans and he gave all of us one, it was pretty nice of him and fun to talk to him. He seemed very happy and I think this is very cool :-)

The weekend may 19th and 20th we had our last YFU Orientation in Oregon. We spend our time in a very nice camp, with nice cambins to sleep in. We played some games, typical YFU-style and talked about going home and what we should expect and what might be different. The Orientation was again a lot of fun, but this time we just were about 3 German exchange students, but usually we are about 10... so this time there weren't a lot of people but it still was a lot of fun. It was very sad to say good bye, because we knew that it might be the last time we see each other. But a good thing were, that we made T-shirt and everyone signed them, so we have something to take home, which can always remind us of this wonderful orientation :-)
On may 23rd, my friends and I we went to a Karaoke night at the Döner Haus and had a lot of fun. We ate Döner and sang some nice songs. It was very funny, I wish I could show you a movie but it doesn't work to put it on this page but it was a lot of fun. We really wanted to do it again, but the man who did it at the Döner Haus got fired, we don't know why, we just know it is very sad. But we had a wonderful night and it will always be in my memory!! Then the day after on May 24th, I went hiking with Ellie and her boyfriend at the Hamilton Mountain, man was this hard, I thought it will be easy because I love hiking and I did it a lot in Germany, but I could feel it, that I haven't done it in a while, it was very hard and I was out of breath!! *hihi* But it was a lot of fun and on top of the Mountain I had a wonderful view of the river and yeah, I enjoyed it a lot! Thanks Ellie and Taylor for taking me with you!
Then the weekend after May 25 thru May 28 I went camping with Kacia, Wade and Michael, + Wades Parents, + Wades Cousin and his family and some friends of Kacia and Wade. We camped at a very beautiful see and took the boat a couple of times, also Kacia and I we went to Mount St. Helens and visit the museum and watched the famous movie about how the volcano errupted! It was very interesting and I am very glad that Kacia took me and that I was able to see the valley. The weekend was a lot of fun, we played a lot of games, we sat around the fire, we took the boat out and we enjoyed the sun or run away from the rain *smile* It was a very nice memorial weekend!

And yeah, thats all I think what happend here the last weeks, tomorrow is my last school day, and this weekend on Saturday Julia, Madeleine and I we will have our Good Bye Party at my house, hopefully the weather will be nice, because their will be a lot of people :-) On Sunday I will have my Good Bye Party with my family and yeah... next week I also have a lot of stuff going on, on Tuesday (June 12) we have Senior Awards night in school, on Wednesday (June 13) we have seniorbreakfast somewhere in Portland and on Thursday (June 14) I have my graduation, man I am excited, it will be a lot of fun I think and afterwards we have our Senior Party, sponsored by the Senior Class parents :-) But noone know yet where it will be, it is a secret *hihi* And on Friday (June 15) I am invited to Kelsey's Graduation Party :-) I am ver excited to go there *juhu* It will be fun!!!

Alright, thats all for the moment, I hope you can forgive me that I didn't write in a while. But i promise you guys as soon as I get to know when I will come home I let you know, and maybe I see some familiar faces at the airport *smile*
In Love, Frances - I miss you guys a lot!!!
